On this private 12-day tour you travel in your own vehicle with an English-speaking driver, at your own pace and with stops wherever you like. You sleep in charming riads and kasbahs and spend 2 nights in a Berber camp among the dunes.

2Day 2Rabat – Ouazzane – Chefchaouen
- Drive into the Rif mountains.
- Through Ouazzane.

- Overnight in Chefchaouen.
3Day 3Chefchaouen – Ouazzane – Fez
- Free morning in Chefchaouen.
- Drive through the Rif and Ouazzane.
- Arrival in Fez and overnight in a riad.
4Day 4Fez: guided tour of the medina
- Tour with a local guide of Fez el-Bali, the largest medina in the world.
- Blue Gate of Bab Boujloud and the Bou Inania madrasa.
- Al Quaraouiyine university and the Chouara tanneries.
- Artisan workshops and the Merinid Tombs viewpoint.
- Overnight in a riad in Fez.
5Day 5Fez – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga

- Camel ride at sunset through the Erg Chebbi dunes to the camp.

6Day 6Merzouga: a full day in the Erg Chebbi desert
- Sunrise over the dunes and breakfast at the camp.
- 4×4 excursion around Erg Chebbi.
- Visit a nomad family and share tea in their tent.
- Gnawa music in Khamlia village and a stop at Dayet Srji lake.
- Sunset on the dunes and a second night in the desert.
7Day 7Merzouga – Erfoud – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley
- Desert sunrise and camel ride back.
- Drive via Erfoud and Tinejdad.

8Day 8Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech

- Arrival in Marrakech in the afternoon.

10Day 10Essaouira: free day on the coast
- Free day to explore the medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
- Skala ramparts and thuya woodcraft workshops.
- Beach, surfing or a horse ride along the coast (optional).
- Fresh fish at the port and overnight in Essaouira.
11Day 11Essaouira – Marrakech
- Free morning in Essaouira.
- Drive back to Marrakech through the argan trees.

Absolutely. We can add or remove days, change the order of the stages or choose other hotels.
Is the camel ride included?
Yes, the camel ride through the Erg Chebbi dunes to the camp is included – one camel per person.
What is the desert camp like?
You can choose a standard camp or a luxury camp with private bathroom. Both include dinner, breakfast and music around the fire.
