On this private 7-day tour you travel in your own vehicle with an English-speaking driver, at your own pace and with stops wherever you like. You sleep in charming riads and kasbahs and spend 2 nights in a Berber camp among the dunes.
The route: Casablanca → Rabat → Meknes → Fez → Ifrane → Azrou → Midelt → Ziz Valley → Erfoud → Merzouga → Khamlia → Merzouga → Erfoud → Tinejdad → Todra Gorges → Dades Gorges → Kelaat M'Gouna → Skoura → Ouarzazate → Ait Ben Haddou → Tizi n'Tichka → Marrakech → Casablanca.
Itinerary
1Day 1Casablanca – Rabat – Meknes – Fez
- Pick-up in Casablanca and visit of the Hassan II Mosque.
- Stop in Rabat: Kasbah of the Udayas and Hassan Tower.
- Bab Mansour gate in Meknes.
- Arrival in Fez and overnight in a riad.
2Day 2Fez: guided tour of the medina
- Tour with a local guide of Fez el-Bali, the largest medina in the world.
- Blue Gate of Bab Boujloud and the Bou Inania madrasa.
- Al Quaraouiyine university and the Chouara tanneries.
- Artisan workshops and the Merinid Tombs viewpoint.
- Overnight in a riad in Fez.
3Day 3Fez – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga
- Pick-up at your riad in Fez.
- Ifrane and the Azrou cedar forest with its monkeys.
- Midelt and the Ziz Valley.
- Camel ride at sunset through the Erg Chebbi dunes to the camp.
- Berber dinner, drums around the fire and a night in a desert tent.
4Day 4Merzouga: a full day in the Erg Chebbi desert
- Sunrise over the dunes and breakfast at the camp.
- 4×4 excursion around Erg Chebbi.
- Visit a nomad family and share tea in their tent.
- Gnawa music in Khamlia village and a stop at Dayet Srji lake.
- Sunset on the dunes and a second night in the desert.
5Day 5Merzouga – Erfoud – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley
- Desert sunrise and camel ride back.
- Drive via Erfoud and Tinejdad.
- Stop at the Todra Gorges.
- Overnight in the Dades Valley.
6Day 6Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech
- Drive through the Valley of Roses and Skoura.
- Ouarzazate and Ait Ben Haddou.
- Cross the High Atlas over the Tizi n'Tichka pass.
- Arrival in Marrakech in the afternoon.
7Day 7Marrakech – Casablanca
- Drive north.
- Visit of the Hassan II Mosque.

You can choose a standard camp or a luxury camp with private bathroom. Both include dinner, breakfast and music around the fire.
